Little Oranges

babyoranges- tinge babyoranges-tingefloral-2babyoranges-tingefloral-img6babyoranges-tingefloral-img5babyoragnes-tingefloral-img7I’ve done a fair amount of peach hued weddings this year. While it’s a beautiful color and a gorgeous pallet for a wedding, as a florist it’s easy to get bored ordering the same old things for every wedding. The little oranges weren’t originally part of my plan, but when I stumbled upon them at my local wholesaler, I knew they were exactly what this wedding was missing.

I also feel I have to confess. I’ve always loved anemones. But when I first started ordering them I thought it was pronounced exactly how it looks, (ane-mone) with a hard “o” sound. Now I just get the name of the flower confused with the sea creature. I also always forget how to say Astilbe. For awhile I was calling it (Ass-ti-ble). So I’ve sounded like an idiot a fair share of times.

  1. I really love your work. It is very classic and original at the same time. Which experience do you have, have you always been a florist ?

Beautiful ombre shades of peach, pink, coral, orange and even navy. Every arrangement reminded me of sherbet.

Leslie and Jordan had a beautiful wedding at Log Haven up Milcreek Canyon. Jordan’s brother made these beautiful aspen planters that we incorporated on the tables. I loved them so much! These pretty photos are by Mariko Kay Photography.

Garden roses will always be some of my favorites. They come in every color and they are so beautiful.

Peach and Cornflower Blue

This was one of my favorite arrangements this year, which is surprising considering peach has been one of the most reoccurring color pallets of the year. The addition of the blue made it a bit more refreshing.

A Rose Wedding

I had the awesome opportunity to do the flowers for a wedding at The Grand America hotel in Salt Lake City with Heather of Amorology! She is definitely one of the best of the best when it comes to wedding planners and designers. She does such an incredible job generating new ideas and executing them flawlessly. I can’t wait to share the rest of this wedding!
