When I was about 12 years old I was determined that the profession I wanted to pursue was a fashion designer. I would often sketch little outfits and dream of a lifestyle in New York designing and making clothes. When Project Runway came on to the scene, I never missed an episode. I'll never forget the season when Leanne Marshall's designs gracefully walked the runway in shades of ivory and sea foam blue. Each piece was so strong with the folds in the fabric, there was such a strength, but feminine quality to each piece.

As the years went on, I realized fashion design in Salt Lake just probably wasn't an option and I pursued many creative outlets before landing on flowers. It's been so fun getting to see brides wear Leanne Marshall gowns and getting to pair flowers with them. I think we share similar aesthetics in appreciating femininity and refinement.

When Leanne asked Heather Nan to shoot her 2016 Wedding Collection, I was equally excited when Heather asked me to make some flowers for it. We decided to create different scenes based on the softness of spring which I think paired with the dresses perfectly.

It's always sad for me to see Spring go, I think it's the season where I enjoy arranging the most. Until next year Spring!
